The Worst Wrestling Developmental - WCW Powerplant

In 2024 WWE has NXT and AEW has the indies and its own C show AEW Dark to help develop the wrestlers of the future. But back in the 90s things were a bit different. WCW had the Powerplant which encouraged people to pay to learn to wrestle under strict army drills. The training was so brutal that most people quit on the first day. It was designed to weed out time wasters who didn’t want to wrestle bad enough. Many familiar faces came through the Powerplant but really only Bill Goldberg can link his success to this place. And Bret Hart would still disagree. Along with that some of the trainers were extremely racist and they held African American Wrestlers down.
